GUIDELINES.

Nomatic Atlas is for people who actually go outside together. Treat people here like you'd treat someone at the trailhead: with respect, honesty, and care for the places you share. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything on the Service: profiles, posts, stories, comments, messages, groups, activities, and routes.

• Use your real identity. No impersonation, fake accounts, or accounts for someone else.
• Use photos of yourself on your profile. Don't use someone else's photos, celebrities, or AI-generated faces presented as you.
• Don't misrepresent your age, verification status, skills, or experience to get people to join you.
• One personal account per person.

• No harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation, including repeated unwanted messages or contact after someone asks you to stop.
• No hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, veteran status, or serious illness.
• No doxxing. Don't share anyone's home address, live location, private routes, contact info, or private messages without their consent.
• No unsolicited sexual messages or images. Consent is required, every time.
• Respect "no." If someone declines an invite, a date, or a conversation, move on.

• Nothing that sexualizes minors, ever. We report child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
• No non-consensual intimate imagery, and no sexually explicit content.
• No threats or incitement of violence, glorification of violent attacks, or support for violent or terrorist organizations.
• No content that promotes self-harm or eating disorders. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 in the U.S.
• Don't post activities that you know put participants at unreasonable risk, or that misrepresent the difficulty, hazards, or permits involved.

• Describe activities honestly: location, difficulty, distance, pace, gear, cost, and any requirements.
• If you set age or gender limits on an activity, apply them fairly and consistently. Don't use them to harass or exclude people in bad faith.
• If you mark an activity as singles-friendly, dating is optional. Nobody owes anyone attention or a date.
• Cancel promptly if plans change, and tell attendees.
• Don't use activities to sell products or services, collect money under false pretenses, or recruit for schemes.

• Follow the law and land rules: permits, closures, private-property boundaries, fire restrictions, and hunting and fishing regulations.
• Don't promote trespassing, poaching, harassing wildlife, or damaging cultural and archaeological sites.
• Think before sharing exact locations of fragile, sacred, or sensitive places, such as nesting sites, rare plants, or archaeological sites.
• Leave No Trace.

• No spam, repetitive posting, fake engagement, or automated accounts.
• No scams, phishing, romance scams, requests for money, or financial solicitation.
• No unapproved advertising or affiliate spam. Guides and businesses must be honest about being commercial.
• No selling of regulated goods, including firearms, ammunition, drugs, or alcohol.

Only post photos, videos, and routes you have the right to share. See the copyright section of our Terms to report infringement.

Use Report on any profile, post, comment, message, group, or activity. Reports are confidential; the person you report isn't told who reported them. You can also block anyone at any time.

Our team reviews reports and prioritizes safety risks. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.

Depending on how serious a violation is, and on your history, we may remove content, limit features, suspend your account, or permanently ban you and any accounts you create to get around the ban. Some violations, such as child exploitation, credible threats, or violence, lead to an immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.
